The live edge faces the room, just as the tree grew it, and the bracket hides inside the shelf. Each one is cut from a single piece of English elm, so yours will be the only one like it.

The details

About the Reverie shelf

Reverie is cut from a solid slice of English elm, 45–50 mm thick and about 20–25 cm deep along its live edge. The natural cracks and knots are hand-infused with black epoxy resin, then sanded to a beautiful finish in matt or high gloss. Truly handmade, with no robotic machinery.

The price covers the shelf made to your length, plus the hidden floating shelf brackets and fixings, so it is ready to put up when it arrives.

Shelf FAQs

Is the length I enter the whole shelf?
Yes: the length is end to end. The depth (how far it comes out from the wall) is about 20–25 cm and varies a little along the live edge.
What comes with it?
Every shelf comes with its floating shelf brackets and fixings. The bracket hides inside the shelf, so nothing shows once it is up.
Matt or high gloss?
Both are available. Matt is soft and natural; high gloss gives a deeper shine that makes the grain and resin stand out. Choose on this page and we will note it on your order.
Can I order several shelves?
Yes. Set the quantity for several of the same length, or add each length to your basket in turn. A few shorter shelves stacked or staggered on a wall look great.
How long does it take?
Each shelf is made to order and delivered within 2 weeks.
What wall can it go on?
Fix it into solid masonry or into the studs of a stud wall, with fixings suited to your wall. If you are not sure, ask a local fitter or get in touch and we will advise.
Can you make one longer than 200 cm?
Often, yes, depending on the timber we have. Get in touch with the length you need and we will confirm the price.
