About our glass tabletops

Each top is cut from clear toughened safety glass to the size you give us, then its edges are polished smooth. Use it on one of our steel bases, on a base you already have, or over a timber table to protect it.

Choose 10 mm glass for most dining, coffee and desk tops up to 2.5 m long, and 15 mm for longer tables or when you want a heavier, more substantial look.

Glass tabletop FAQs

Is toughened glass safe for a tabletop?
Yes. Toughened (tempered) safety glass is far stronger than ordinary glass, and if it ever does break it crumbles into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. That is why it is the standard for glass tables.
Should I choose 10 mm or 15 mm?
10 mm suits most dining, coffee and desk tops up to 2.5 m long and 1.5 m wide. For anything longer, or if you want a heavier, more substantial look, choose 15 mm, which we make up to 3.5 m long.
How do I measure?
Give us the finished size of the top in centimetres: length and width for a square or rectangle, the diameter for a circle, and the overall length and width for an oval. If you are buying one of our bases too, tell us which in the notes and we will check the overhang.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes: the minimum price for a glass top is £100, so small tops are charged at that price.
Can you do other shapes, corners or cut-outs?
Yes. Square and rectangular tops come with 10 mm radius corners as standard. For a different radius, a cut-out or a template shape, put it in the notes or get in touch before ordering and we will confirm the price.
What base should I use with a glass top?
Choose a base with connecting rails or a pedestal base rather than two separate legs, so the glass sits on a rigid, square frame. We fit flat pads for glass so it sits securely.
