This listing is for a brand new, handcrafted solid English Elm tabletop, made by Sam Sorrell in our UK workshop.

Two slabs cut from the same tree have been bookmatched – opened like the pages of a book – so the grain, burrs and knots mirror each other across the centre of the table. The natural voids and knots have been infused with bronze epoxy resin, which catches the light and sets off the warm tones of the Elm beautifully.

At 155cm (1550mm) long it is the ideal size for a dining table in a kitchen, apartment or smaller dining room, seating 4 people comfortably, or 6 with a chair at each end. The live edges vary naturally from 90cm to 100cm wide and have been kept full of character while remaining smooth and practical to sit at, and the corners have been beautifully rounded – no sharp edges.

To complete your table, simply choose a Table Leg or Base design from our store, and we’ll custom fabricate it to fit perfectly before delivering everything together.
