The straight edges face out and the natural live edge frames the glass, so the wood’s own outline becomes the shape of your mirror. No two boards are alike, so yours will be the only one like it.

Built by hand, board by board

We choose each board for its edge, then cut, join and finish the frame by hand before fitting your mirror glass and a solid wood backing.

About the Rivergrain mirror

Rivergrain is framed in premium English elm, 45 mm thick, with the straight edges on the outside and the live edge on the inside. Elm’s deep chestnut colour and burr figure make every mirror a one-off.

The price covers everything: the mirror glass cut to size, the solid wood frame, a solid wood backing and heavy-duty brackets, so it is ready to hang when it arrives.

How to measure. Give us the overall size you want on the wall, outside edge to outside edge. The frame width varies with the live edge, so the glass is smaller than the overall size.

Mirror FAQs

Is the size I enter the glass or the whole mirror?
The whole mirror, frame included. Measure the space on your wall and give us that size, outside edge to outside edge. The glass fills the middle, framed by the live edge.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
It will be the same wood and style, but the live edge is natural, so the exact outline and grain are unique to your mirror.
How do I hang it?
Every mirror comes with heavy-duty brackets. Solid timber this thick is substantial, so fix into studs or masonry with suitable wall plugs, and use two people for larger mirrors.
Can it hang portrait or landscape?
Yes. Tell us in the notes which way it will hang.
Can you make one bigger than 200 cm?
Often, yes. Get in touch with the size you need and we will confirm the price and delivery.
How long does it take?
Each mirror is made to order and delivered within 2 weeks.
