This is not mass-produced furniture. Every stage of the build is completed entirely by hand, using traditional woodworking methods. Natural features within the burr oak have been stabilised and subtly enhanced using black epoxy resin, adding depth, contrast and long-term structural integrity. The tabletop is hand-sanded and finished with premium oils to enrich the grain and protect the wood for years to come.

Measuring 3 metres in length and varying from 120cm to 130cm in width along the live edges, this extraordinary piece comfortably seats 10 to 12 people. This slab comes from a single, exceptionally rare oak log that produced only fourteen boards, each measuring up to 3.5m long and 130cm wide. We currently hold the entire log in stock. Table Overview
This exceptional dining table is crafted from a single slab of Burr English Oak, measuring 214cm long and 90–110cm wide, following the natural live edge of the tree. At 65mm thick, it is a substantial, statement piece designed to comfortably seat 6–8 people.

Handcrafted in the UK by Sam Sorrell, the slab has been carefully prepared, with natural voids filled using black epoxy resin and finished to a smooth, level surface. The result is a refined contrast between the rich burr oak grain and the deep black resin.

Single Slab Construction

Unlike most dining tables, which are made from multiple boards, this piece is formed from one continuous slab of oak. Timber of this size and character is increasingly rare, offering uninterrupted grain and a more natural, authentic finish.

Black Epoxy Resin Detailing

All natural splits and voids have been stabilised using black epoxy resin. Each section is filled, cured, and sanded flush with the surface to ensure durability while enhancing the natural features of the wood without overpowering it.
